Bryn Walker Oakland Hills Obituary, Death-Fashion CEO Bryn Walker and wife Michelle died after shooting near University of California, Berkeley

Bryan Walker and Michelle Walker, the married couple associated with the Berkeley clothing company Bryn Walker, were found dead following a shooting outside their Oakland Hills home, according to police and local reporting. The incident occurred on Panoramic Way near the Berkeley border and close to the University of California, Berkeley campus on October 2, 2026.

Police were called to the neighborhood at about 10:43 a.m. after gunfire was reported. Responding officers found two people with gunshot wounds outside the residence. Officers and medical personnel attempted to save the victims, but both died at the scene. Authorities later confirmed that the victims were residents of the home.

The victims were subsequently identified by neighbors and local reporting as Bryan and Michelle Walker. Michelle was reported to be 63 years old, while Bryan was 64. The Berkeley Scanner reported that public records identify Michelle as Michelle Min and connect the couple to the Bryn Walker clothing business.

Michelle Walker began the Berkeley-based Bryn Walker brand in 1992, according to local reporting and the company’s own history. The business has developed a presence in the women’s apparel market, producing clothing in the San Francisco Bay Area and distributing its products through boutiques and company stores.

The company describes its designs as emphasizing comfort, quality and easy sophistication. Its official website lists Berkeley locations as well as a store in Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts, and provides information for wholesale customers.

Bryan Walker was identified as the company’s CEO, while the couple worked together in the fashion business. Their professional partnership extended back many years, including trademark records showing Bryan D. Walker and Michelle Kyongsun Min associated with the Bryn Walker name.

Investigators recovered a firearm at the scene. Oakland police said they were not looking for anyone at large and that there was no continuing threat to the surrounding neighborhood. Authorities have been investigating the circumstances of the shooting, including the possibility of a murder-suicide, without announcing a final determination.
