Sawyer Jordan entered his first season with LSU after joining the Tigers following two seasons at Ole Miss. At LSU, Jordan brought experience from one of the most successful stretches in the Rebels’ football history, where he worked as an assistant tight ends coach under Lane Kiffin.
Two Successful Seasons at Ole Miss
During Jordan’s two seasons at Ole Miss, the Rebels won 23 games, including a school-record 13 victories in 2025. The season also saw Ole Miss advance to the College Football Playoff semifinals.
The Rebels’ offense was among the nation’s most productive during Jordan’s time with the program. Ole Miss led the SEC in total offense in both 2024 and 2025 and ranked second nationally in both seasons.
Ole Miss Passing Offense
Ole Miss also produced exceptional passing numbers during Jordan’s tenure. The Rebels led the SEC in passing offense in both 2024 and 2025.
In 2024, the team averaged 350.8 passing yards per game, ranking second nationally. The following season, Ole Miss averaged 313.3 passing yards per game and finished third nationally.

Jordan previously worked at South Florida, serving as an offensive analyst during the 2021 and 2022 seasons after spending the 2020 campaign as a graduate assistant.
Clemson Beginnings
Jordan began his coaching career in 2013 as an offensive student assistant at Clemson. During his five years with the Tigers, Clemson captured the College Football Playoff National Championship in 2016 and won three consecutive ACC championships from 2015 through 2017.
Clemson finished 14-1 in both 2015 and 2016. The Tigers defeated Alabama 35-31 in the 2016 national championship game after losing 45-40 to Alabama in the championship game the previous season.
Education and Louisiana-Lafayette
After his time at Clemson, Jordan joined Louisiana-Lafayette in 2018 as a quality control coach. He remained with the Cajuns for two seasons, during which the program captured the Sun Belt Western Division in both years and won the 2019 LendingTree Bowl.
